When we met at church, Austin asked me if I wanted some goat meat in exchange for letting him use my meat grinder. He explained that most people are not interested in trying goat meat. He continued, “but if you want, I can give you something.” I replied, “Are you kidding me? I’m an Assyrian! I’d like some goat meat!” π¬

π How to make goat brooches
Step 1: Mix the ground goat meat with the spices. Add the chopped onion and cayenne pepper. Pass the meat through a meat grinder or food processor.

Step 2: Let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for at least a few hours, or overnight. Form the cooled meat into four flat skewers.

Pro tip: You’ll want to use ice water to soak your hands as you work the meat on the skewers. This keeps the meat cold and easier to work with.
Step 3: Grease the grill before starting, then grill the goat patties until cooked to your liking, turning them every minute to prevent them from sticking to the grill.
