The fried leeks in the oven are a delicious side dish, so easy to do!
This recipe for fried leeks requires only a little melted butter and parmesan cheese to turn them into a tasty side or the first elegant course.

- Flavor: Sweet, gentle and butter with a hint of Nutine from Parmesan.
- Level of abilities: Super easy! Perfect for beginners or anyone who loves simple and aromatic foods.
- Swaps: Change the parmesan for Gruyère for a richer flavor or use olive oil instead of butter for an easier option.

4 light ingredients
Patuses: Choose fresh, firm stems with a full, white base and green leaves.
Sauce: The real butter will be added to the caramelization of the leeks as it is baked. Parmesan cheese completes the onion flavor. Garlic powder, dry rosemary, oregano or thyme will add tasty aroma to melted butter.
Our favorite variations:
- For a lighter version, use olive oil instead of butter.
- Light the aroma with a spritz of lemon juice or sprinkle with lemon peel before serving.
- Try to add cauliflower flowers, small mushrooms and sliced bell pepper. If you use sliced potatoes and carrots, add it in water with leeks in step 3.
How to prepare leeks
Fresh leeks often contain dirt or tiles between their densely packaged leaves, so that their washing is important. Cut a slice from the white base to the green side, where the leaves begin to become darker and tougher. Cut the stems in half vertical and rinse under cold water, while faning the layers to remove any particles.

How to fry the leeks
- Clean the leeks and boil in water until softened.
- Spices leeks and flows with melted butter and parmesan cheese (full recipe below).
- Bake until the leeks are tender and gold at the edges.
Left leeks?
- Store the leeks left by Parmesan in a sealing container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Recall under the broiler with a little extra parmesan cheese before serving.
- The debris can be cut and added to a quiche, a frittata or a vegetable soup.
- Freeze portions in zipper bags for up to a month and thaw in the refrigerator. They will not be as firm, but you can use them in other recipes.
